Translator, letterer and comic artist Mikko is also a singer and musician, who recently experimented with throat singing, something very different from traditional vocal styles and that requires a more shamanistic approach. His favourite capital sin is sloth, as he thinks it represents mankind’s tendency for dualism, rather than simply apathy or indolence. This reflects his complex relation with the classic canon, seen both as a necessary corpus of knowledge and an invitation to break the rules. He collects books, records, and tapes, but with the underlying awareness collecting can be a futile attempt to maintain the illusion of an orderly universe.
