In a vibrant collaboration, in keeping with the Helsinki Comics Festival’s theme “Together”, the Kutiburger exhibition, held at Cultural Centre Stoa in Helsinki, brings together a curated selection of artists from the renowned Finnish Kuti and Slovenian Stripburger comics magazines.
The exhibition moves beyond the printed page, showcasing a diverse range of prints and unique artworks that explore the creative dialogue between Finnish and Slovenian independent comics scenes.
The featured artists are Terhi Adler, Sara Ahola, Kaja Avberšek, Hana Černivec, Terhi Ekebom, Jure Engelsberger, Sanna Hukkanen, Klara Kracina, Agate Lielpētere, Tamara Likon, Hanneriina Moisseinen, Hannele Richert, Heikki Rönkkö, Žiga Sever, Aja Sredanović, Andrej Štular, Eszter Szép, Amanda Vähämäki, and Mikko Väyrynen.
As a side dish, the exhibition presents special editions of both magazines: a Slovenian Kuti (#81) and a Finnish Stripburger (#88).
The Kutiburger presentation at the Helsinki Comics Festival is part of an international programme co-financed by the Slovenian Book Agency (JAKRS).
