Aino Sutinen is a Helsinki-based comics artist, sketchnoter and illustrator. She mostly works with non-fiction subjects. Aino has made documentary comics, short stories, travelogues, history, science communication and strips. She has edited three Kuti magazines about non-fiction and history.
Her most recent books are Ajattelen Ukrainaa koko ajan (I Keep Thinking about Ukraine, Suuri Kurpitsa, 2024) and Sörnäisten tyttö (Girl from Sörnäinen, together with Leena Virtanen, Suuri Kurpitsa, 2022). She has previously published two travel comic books, Mountain Wife about the South Caucasus (Neon Tunisia, 2015) and Taxi to Kurdistan about the Middle East (Asema, 2009).
Aino is also the editor-in-chief of Sarjainfo, Finland’s comics culture magazine at Finnish Comics Society.
She likes reading, cycling and studying languages.
