Jarno’s comics are characterized by black humor, which comes natural to him, and the result partly of specific cultural (in)sensitivity. He thinks art should not be subjected to any limits besides the ones inside the artist’s head and that nothing is really sacred. Besides publishing various comic books and graphic novels, he has also worked with music videos, animation, performances, and paintings. Jarmo feels that only the hum of the wind, the pitter-patter of the rain, the fury of the sea and the birds and whales singing can be sublime.
