Juliana Hyrri is an Estonian-born visual artist, cartoonist and painter whose work explores the intersection of language and expression. In her typically bittersweet graphic novels and narratives, she has delved into themes of otherness, cultural identity, loneliness, and growth. The stories often have an autobiographical undertone. Hyrri earned her master’s degree in fine arts from the Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki in 2023 and in visual narrative from Aalto University in 2020.
