Pauliina is a Finnish illustrator, visual artist and graphic designer. While her illustrations are usually the result of commissions, comics are something she does without worrying about pleasing anyone and are her fully individual creations. Pauliina also collaborates with different musicians creating moving images, a kind of phantasmagoria, at live concerts with overhead projectors and various materials. In relation to the question of the universality of art she feels that art springs from a specific viewpoint that is inevitably bound to the time-space continuum the artist lives in, but that the understanding and appreciation of art are universal.
