Tiina Lehikoinen

Tiina Lehikoinen is an artist and writer who thrives on the boundaries between genres. Ecofeminist and posthumanist themes, play and questioning the unknown are recurring elements in her work.

Lehikoinen’s work includes paintings, graphics, comics, text works and video performances. She has written ten works of poetry and fiction and she been nominated several times for different litterature prizes in Finland. She has received The Finnish Aphorism Book of the Year Award and The Tampere Literature Prize.

Lehikoinen’s works are in the collections of The Finnish State Art Commission and The Tampere Art Museum. She has graduated from Turku University (MA) and Aalto University (MA).

In her comics, she is fascinated by the interplay of text and images, as well as collisions and experiments related to visual storytelling.
