Welcome to celebrate the joint release of Kuti#81 and Stripburger#88!
Thursday 17th September 2026 at 6 pm
at Sörkan ruusu (Pääskylänrinne 3, Helsinki)
The Finnish-Slovenian twin magazines, also known as the Kutiburgers, have been responsibly cultivated in the fertile soil of the European alternative comics field, as a collaboration between two long-standing farmers. The Kutiburger harvest of autumn 2026 is connected by the theme of relationship to nature. The magazines introduce altogether nine Slovenian and thirty Finnish contemporary comics artists. The Helsinki Comics Festival hosts a Kutiburger exhibition in the Cultural Center Stoa (Turunlinnantie 1, Helsinki) from 3rd to 20th September 2026.
At the same time, we will celebrate the opening of Myrtillum et Fragum, an exhibition by the artist duo Mixpihlaja (Hannele Richert & Amanda Vähämäki).
We invite comics artists and other professionals from the field to join us, meet our international guests, colleagues and friends, and spend the evening together in good company.
